Lexile Framework is an examination that's been used in the states to exam student's reading ability. And of course it's easy togive yourself a test on the internet.

I've found a link in PPT, just click the address and enter the passwords, but it takes about 60 mins to finish it.

After you've done it, there will be a result, and you can select books which is suitable for your level in the lexile books database.

it's somewhat useful for knowing your own reading ability, and sure it will be much easier to avoid picking a wrong book for yourself.
